Amity School of Communication is organising Click-O-Mania, a photography competition on 19th September 2026, on the theme“Heritage and Wildlife.”
The theme invites participants to capture the rich heritage and diverse wildlife that define India’s extraordinary cultural and natural landscape. From magnificent historical monuments and ancient architecture to vibrant traditions, forgotten stories, majestic forests, and the fascinating wildlife that inhabits them, participants are encouraged to explore and document the beauty that surrounds us.
“Heritage and Wildlife” celebrates the connection between our past and the natural world. Through their photographs, participants can showcase architectural marvels, cultural traditions, historic sites, rural landscapes, endangered species, untamed habitats, or intimate moments from the world of wildlife.
Through this event, Amity School of Communication provides a platform for students and professional photographers to share their creative vision, tell compelling visual stories, and contribute to a greater appreciation of India’s rich heritage and remarkable biodiversity.
Photography is an art form that captures fleeting moments and emotions, freezing them in time through the lens of a camera. It allows us to tell stories, evoke memories, and see the world from unique perspectives. Every photograph is a snapshot of life, preserving beauty and truth in its purest form, whether it’s a grand landscape or a simple, intimate moment.
Zoya Thomas Lobo is India’s first transgender photojournalist, model, and digital creator. She has been awarded by the Bombay News Photographers’ Association for her fearless field reporting during COVID-19, and recognized by the Photography Society of India. She is also a recipient of the Fatima Bi Savitribai Phule Award for breaking societal barriers and uplifting the transgender community into mainstream spaces.
Zoya has further been honoured with the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Award for her contribution towards transgender rights and representation in the media industry. Her journey reflects courage, visibility, and a commitment to social change. And also here photography work is exhibited internationally on the culture of transgender community at (The Horniman Museum and Gardens South london)
Mr. Sanjay Dutt Sharma, a renowned Wildlife Photographer has won several national, International contests, travelled all over the country as well as abroad for Photography assignments. Projects done for Ministry of External affairs in Nepal. Exhibited at Indo Arabian Cultural Society Wildlife Photo Exhibition, Sharjah – 2016 also several exhibitions in India, Singapore and Norway. Mr. Sharma has also conducted workshops for MP Forest Deptt, Indian Army, and 25 plus schools.
Mr. Chirag Jain is associated with Canon, with expertise in Sales Support and Technical Support for imaging products. He has actively conducted and supported camera demonstrations, Photowalks, college workshops, and Wedding Cinematic Workshops across the MP Division. With strong knowledge of Canon cameras, lenses, and imaging technology, he provides practical technical guidance to photographers, filmmakers, and photography enthusiasts, contributing to the growth of the photography community across Madhya Pradesh.
Judging in the competition will focus on several key aspects.
How well elements are arranged within the frame, creating a visually appealing and balanced image.
Will evaluate the ability of the photograph to convey a narrative or emotion, engaging viewers and sparking their imagination.
Assess the proficiency in using photographic techniques, including exposure, focus, and colour accuracy, ensuring that the image is both technically sound and artistically compelling.
